Ready to Pray?

Our team is hours from lifting off. In fact, some already have. We are coming from all parts of the U.S. and will converge on Mwanza, Tanzania for a week of evangelism, training, orphan ministry, and all around fun.

Will you pray for us? We are trusting the Lord for His help and strength in this work He has called us to. And we pray He moves and gets the glory.

Check back often and we'll try to keep you posted regularly. Perhaps you will feel like a genuine part of the trip. If you are praying, you will certainly be part of the results.

We're counting on you.

Phil

Hey this is Scott M. and I'm jazzed to have beaten Phil to be the first one to report on this site about this trip. Fonelisco - the orphanage - will melt your heart. Beautiful, friendly, outgoing children, inspiring, energetic staff and such huge need. You can't leave there without aching to help.

Today was our first day in the field. As we walk through the neigborhood, we expend no effort in finding people to talk with us. People from USA aren't seen very often in Bulale...if ever. We stop to talk to a couple of boys carrying water on the road and within 5 minutes there are 10 to 15 more standing around. I share my testimony - average run of the mill (pun intended) - story, we share the gospel with the cube, we ask if anyone wants to receive Christ. 4 or 5 hands go up but 10 to 15 voices are praying outloud!

That was typical.

Others are talking about some miraculous things. Preaching in the middle of a village and people just come to see the foreign freaks.

Well, Phil just sat down next to me to enter an offical Habari Safari update, so I think I'll look over his shoulder.
